Bellows Systems (BSI) is seeking a motivated, initiative-taking Welding Engineer to join our dynamic team in the advancement of resistance and fusion welding processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and qualification of welding machines, procedures, and schedules from concept to commercialization through experimentation and process verification to ensure production manufacturing can be performed repeatability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative manufacturing projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of welding processes: Identification of future development needs, qualification of new schedules/specifications and work instructions, and design of welding fixtures.
  • Assist with development of Nadcap and ASME welding programs and certifications.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to build prototypes of new products, using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation procedures to ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of prototype and first article units.
  • Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, test results, dimensional inspection, and design iterations.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate technical issues during the development process, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews and reporting feedback for continuous improvement of products and processes.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Experience writing, developing, and qualifying welding procedures specifications and schedules for fusion welding and resistance welding processes.
  • Proficient technical writing skills pertaining to creating code-specific documentation.
  • Well versed in ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, AWS D17.1, and AWS D17.2 welding codes.
  • Practical knowledge of carbon steels, nickel-based alloys, and titanium.
  • Meticulous critical thinker capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Possess an understanding of mechanical drawings, materials packaging, bellows, and sheet metal forming processes.
  • Must have strength to lift 50lbs from floor to waist.
  • Ability to read/write/speak English.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US.

RADIOGRAPHER & TRAINER

Job Summary:

Bellows Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Radiographer to join our dynamic team manufacturing sheet metal tubulars for bellows and expansion joints. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing and developing radiographic testing capability of the company. You will work on development and testing products, from concept to manufacturing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities of Radiographer & Trainer:

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensuring the safety of the public
  • Setting up barricades
  • Completing daily surveys
  • Wearing proper PPE while performing radiography
  • Abiding by all state regulations and ALARA procedures

Operational Duties:

  • Performing radiography in accordance with the specifications
  • Interpretation of images and submitting reports
  • Securing the device & key
  • Daily equipment checks and submitting PO requests as needed
  • Ensuring equipment is turned in for calibration

Training and Supervision:

  • Overseeing the trainee
  • Completing all required safety and level II reports
  • Maintaining use logs as required by the state
  • Keeping state license current
  • Maintaining ASNT or other certification as needed.

Communication:

  • Discussing procedures and problems with customers or auditors
  • Updating management with problems or developments
  • Answering and reporting to the RSO
  • Attending all safety meetings & refresher training
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Must have a valid state card with X-Ray certification
  • Must have a” T “for Trainer Certificate
  • Must be level II in Radiography (DR experience preferred).
  • Must be willing to complete training to become RSO (Radiation Safety Officer)
